Conceived as “some jams to get some gigs” the boys just popped in the studio and played a bit. Improvisational, jamband , fusion , rockin , chunks of funk and then some. The Meters meets Tower of Power meets tequila…or something like that. Burned a few copies and sent them around to club owners. They all wanted more copies for their friends. And then some more. Eventually they went to press with it and called it drunkin drivin. It was less of a name and more of a description of the BBQ and ensuing recording process that gave birth to the cd. Its for real , music and inspiration.
