Favorite track: 1934.

Anil Prasad-Innerviews: Truly digging the new album by WTD Ceremonial featuring Daniel Whitley, Damon Trotta and Steve Decker. It's a killer, largely instrumental rock double-album that finds this excellent trio stretching out, luxuriously into the furthest depths of their creative instincts. It shifts between distorted guitars, pounding percussion and pulsing bass, into the atmospheric, moody and minimal, sometimes within the same piece, some of which run as long as 21 minutes. There are otherworldly vocalizations from Dan Whitley that color some tracks as well. This is music about living in the moment and it's fantastic.

Musical ritual in service of spontaneous creation
Persistently and disturbingly present
A constantly evolving journey down the voodoo
Time amongst ghosts.

"You’ll feel the influences as they morph into the next. Blues to Tool to Zeppelin, sometimes simultaneously. Art disguised as 70’s rock. Ambient to overbearing. Daniel Lanois, Can, Hendrix, David Torn, Cream…and none of the above. But most important is their own clearly defined style, a channelling of electricity, pure, arcing and dangerous."

-post industrial-strength Corrosion of the stillness...

-aural montage of the Acoustic to the incidental as retro innovation.

-spiritual folkways practiced to channel influence over Vibration from particular springs in the silence
